On January 30, 2026, Social Cooperation Initiative (SCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Zakat Foundation of America in Islamabad to expand support for women, children, and marginalized communities across Pakistan. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing relief, education, health, and essential social services through transparent, accountable, and community-centered action.

The Ministry of Human Rights Pakistan acknowledged Social Cooperation Initiative’s contribution in supporting vulnerable families and children through the Winter Relief Package, implemented in collaboration with Zakat Foundation of America at the Family Protection and Rehabilitation Center, H-8, Islamabad. This recognition reflects the strong role of civil society organizations in assisting vulnerable survivors and strengthening community-based protection and care systems.

The CEO of Social Cooperation Initiative along with team met with Salihah Tuna, Country Coordinator of TİKA Pakistan, to discuss collaboration opportunities for marginalized communities. With 800+ projects across Pakistan, TİKA reflects Türkiye’s strong partnership with Pakistan. Both organizations look forward to advancing sustainable development together.

In Tharparkar, Social Cooperation Initiative established four Community-Based Accelerated Learning Centers, enrolling 100 out-of-school girls in safe, community-supported spaces. These centers accelerate literacy and numeracy while engaging families and local leaders to challenge early marriage norms and strengthen support for girls’ education.

Sajjad Hussain Malik, CEO of SCI, attended the inauguration of the newly established United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) building in Islamabad, marking 75 years of U.S.–Pakistan academic exchange and educational cooperation. The event brought together senior U.S. Embassy and USEFP leadership to reaffirm shared commitments to expanding scholarship opportunities, strengthening student mobility, and advancing people-to-people and academic linkages between the two countries.
